The math

Cash cost = helper labor + miles × rate + chemicals + dump + (quoted × card fee %). True job cost = cash cost + owner hours × hourly labor cost. Contribution = quoted − true job cost. Effective hourly = (quoted − cash cost) ÷ owner hours.

Mileage split

Job dates January 1–June 30, 2026 use $0.725 per business mile. July 1–December 31, 2026 use $0.76. The rate is not “IRS approved” by this site; it is the published standard mileage rate. Confirm at IRS.gov before you file.
